Allies for The Creative Value Network

One of the many exhilarating things which have happened since CVN declared its intentions has been the exuberance and diversity of the individuals and groups who have responded with ideas and support.

We will be profiling and introducing many of these as our momentum grows, and announcing newcomers to the cause whose time has come.

We look forward to welcoming you and your group or organisation into the growing list of active supporters within our expanding Creative Value Network..

Like Oxford Brookes University, one of the earliest of CVN's dynamic allies - who committed to the creative and innovation potential of our cross-disciplinary mission and are to become a test-bed of some of our programmes and ideas.

The Schools of Technology, Arts and Humanities, Bio- and Molecular Sciences, and Business are already involved in a ground-breaking cross-faculty Joint Steering Group with CVN.

Roger Mumby-Croft, Director of Brookes Enterprise Centre, is playing a major role and as ex-Grimsby fisherman cum economic historian typifies the rich diversity of our enthusiasts.

Or our veteran supporter Henry Boettinger, former Vice President of Corporate Policy AT and T who, with US degrees in Engineering, Physics and Economics, now concentrates on his music and printing press in Crackington Haven, Cornwall. He has given his name to our first CVN cross-disciplinary research project, soon to be announced.

Women have already made a special and growing contribution to our thinking - like Anna Craft of the Open University Creativity Centre; Jo Parker, professional water engineer and creative writer; or Brenda Cooper, proprietor of 'Artfield Music' whose music assignments range across the technologies of film, theatre and radio.

Expect good news soon on CVN's emerging partnership with one of the UK's most influential professional bodies - the Institute of Electrical Engineers. Its CEO, Dr Alfred Roberts, writes: "My colleagues share my view that a Partnership between IEE and CVN would indeed bring mutual benefit". It will be good to have the home of Michael Faraday on our side!

Come and join us!
